Dunboyne 4 Mile Race

The Dunboyne 4 Mile race took pace today with seven MSB athletes taking part. Thanks to Dunboyne AC for yet another superbly organised race!
It was like a summer’s day so was a great day for race!
Kate O’Neill took a superb third place in the ladies’ race coming in behind Catherina McKeirnan in second place and Ciara Durkan of Skerries AC in first.
Mick Clohisy of Ratheny Samrock won the men’s race in 18:46
Special mention has to go to Louie Woodger who, was not content with leaving Athlone without any silverware, hightailed it to Dunboyne to take part in the 12 and Under 800m race that was part of the Dunboyne 4 mile race today. Making it to the start line with just five minutes to spare he came in second being just edged out by a local Dunboyne AC athlete!
