Dublin Juvenile Uneven and Senior XC

The Dublin Uneven Age Cross Country Championships took place at the weekend with a massive contingent of over 70 athletes competing. The conditions in Santry Demesne and weather were perfect for cross-country runnning and MSB once again had a fantastic day throughout the age groups.

Following on from the successes of the even age races, MSB managed to come away with a team medal in 6 of the 7 races where there were enough athletes to make up a team.


Team Honours (where the top 6 athletes from the club in the race eligible for a medal):

  • U11G - Gold - Emily Bolton, Leah O'Dwyer, Eva Crowe, ???
  • U11B - Gold - Zac Murphy, Ben O'Neill, Eoin O'Brien, Jake O'Neill, ???
  • U13G - Gold - Aoife Brown, Gara Williams, Zoe Coquart, Leila McCormack, Eadaoin O'Mara and Maddie Buckley
  • U13B - Gold - Thomas Bolton, James Monahan, Louie Woodger, Sean Finn, Sam Dunne and Ethan Monahan
  • U15B - Silver - Scott Fagan, Finn Woodger, James Bolton, Sean Og MacSeoin and Traian Rebegea

There were also lots of podium and top 12 finishes which all get a medal.

Top 12 U11s and above along with the top three club teams qualify for the uneven age National Championship in a few weeks' time.

Thanks to all those who set up the gazebo, sorted the numbers, warmed up the athletes, got them to the start line and provided tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes. Special thanks to Caoilinn Mohan for being our official MSB photographer.

Also, special mention to Shane Healy who once again rolled back the years in the Senior Dublin Cross COuntry Championshps running the 10k in a superb time of 32:09 to cross the line in 17th place overall.
