 dublin mara front

A record number of MSB club athletes took part in the Dublin Marathon and they attracted huge support especially by Myos and Whites Gate in Castleknock.

Even with some 20,000 athletes running it was easy to pick out our athletes in the familar bright green and blue singlets

Weather conditions were good but Dublin is a tough course with a good number of testing inclines so getting a personal best is a tough ask.

Three of our athletes broke the magical 3-hour barrier. John McMenamin was first in only a few weeks after going sub-2:50 in Chicago

Sean, back to the marathon distance after a few years concentrating on shorter distances, smashed the 3-hour barrier once again and this time in the M45 category coming over the line 21st in his category.
