Antrim 2018 XC 05

The Antrim Cross Country International took place last Saturday. This event has been running for 40 years now and has been won by some of the big names over the years:

As well as the senior men's and women's races there are also various juvenile races.

Four of our athletes made the journey up to Antrim to take part and it is generally a good event to test yourself against some of the best athletes from Ireland and the UK plus some from further afield in the senior races.

We had the Bolton brothers both competing in the 13B race and both performed superbly coming in 6th and 7th place with James pipping Thomas by 10 seconds over the 1800m course.

Sadhbh Mohan was up next in the 15G race running up against athletes athletes a year older. She finished the 3600m in 6th place and the second Irish athlete home.

Catherina Mullen, in her first race after injury, ran a fantastic race coming over the line in 17th place in a quality field. She even beat two of the athletes that had been picked to represent Ireland for the race.
