Some results from the previous few weeks from our senior and master athletes:
National Road Relays – a great day here on the streets of Raheny, we had 3 men’s teams on the day and all teams ran very well with some outstanding individual times, many thanks our coaches and supporters on the day and of course thanks to the athletes for making it possible, teams were Sean Mac, Paul F & Daragh H – Paul Spollen, Mel Hilliard & Dave Carroll – Kenny McAndrew, Mark Woodger & Vinny Brady.
Paul Farrell was 1st across the line in the Arc 10km on may bank holiday Monday, richly deserved for Paul who is a very consistent trainer and competito.
Also on that weekend Declan Bolton had a super race in the Great Limerick Marathon with a huge PB, Declan then continued his form in to the Cork City Marathon recently. Well Done Dec.
The Dublin Athletics graded track series has been on going over the spring/summer with some strong performances from our lads, Sean Mac Seoin, Dave Culligan, Dave Carroll, Mark Woodger, Mel Hilliard & Paul Spollen all competing in various events, in fact Mark took home 2 pb’s on 1 night in Tallaght in the shotput and 1500M.

Well done to John Coghlan on his first place in the inaugural mondello half marathon, race was on the car track and John romped it in 68 minutes. Super Stuff

This last weekend has been a busy one, our ladies captain Sarah Fay ran very well in the braveheart trail race in Trim on Friday night, Mel Hilliard and Emma Donlon took to dingle for the dingle endurance race in which Emma finished 2nd and finally today we had a few prizes amongst the lads in the Irish runner 5mile race which is part of the Dublin Marathon Race series, congratulations to John Coghlan, Kenny McAndrew, Paul Farrell (all received prizes) Paul Spollen ,Mark Mohan, Stephen & Sara McGuiness who competed on the day and of course thanks to the supporters on the route and members who helped with stewarding.
We had a lovely and tough mountain run in Wicklow so thanks to Eugene Brady for organising
Dublin Marathon is in our sights, Eugene is formulating some training plans for those interested in getting together and putting in a team, I am hoping to arrange a get together one evening in the coming weeks so if anyone is interested please let either myself or Eugene know, there is some strong interest already!!!!
