XC Dublin Uneven

Sunday, 6th November 2016

Another fantastic day for MSB in the Dublin Cross Country Championships on a sunny but bitterly cold day. Well done to all of our 30+ athletes who took part in the uneven-age event in Santry Demesne with some fantastic individual and team performances.

MSB came away with the following team honours:

Team Honours:
U9G - Silver (Emily Bolton, Ruby Buckley, Mia Coquart, Grace O'Grady and Amy Woodger)
U11B - Gold (Thomas Bolton, Patrick O'Reilly, Ethan Monahan, Jack Batt, Noah McCarthy and Robert O'Connell)
U13B - Bronze (James Bolton, Neil Hogan, Ben O'Neill and Bobby Lynch)

There were also a number of podium and top 12 finishes which all get a medal and qualify those athletes for the National Championships (U12 and above only) in a few weeks. Special mention to the Bolton family who each came away with a Gold medal making sure they were not out-done by their Dad who completed a superb sub-3 hour marathon a week ago!

U9G - Emily Bolton - Gold
U11B - Thomas Bolton - Gold
U13G - Saidhbh Mohan - Gold
U13B - James Bolton - Gold

Top 12 Finishes:
U9G - Ruby Buckley (11th)
U11B - Patrick O'Reilly (9th), Ethan Monahan (12th)
U13G - Viviana McCann (4th)
U13B - Neil Hogan (9th)
U15B - Robert Rebegea (7th)

Massive thanks to coaches and parents who helped out today in setting up the tent, sorting out numbers and singlets, making and bringing refreshments, officiating in the races and generally helping out with the athletes getting warmed up and to the race start on time!
